I have been leading healthcare-related services companies since 1996. I am passionate about the field — it's fascinating, challenging, and full of opportunities. I have deep respect for healthcare practitioners, of all disciplines and at all levels — theirs is a noble calling. Furthermore, the healthcare services industry is crucial — to patients' lives, to our economy, and to our nation's future. I am thrilled to be involved!

 

But why did I found a recruitment company? I did it because healthcare recruitment is both important and challenging.

 

Healthcare recruitment is important because finding the right people is the biggest need in the biggest industry in the United States. The recruiter's job is important! That makes us feel good.

 

Finding the right person is much more challenging in healthcare than in other service industries. Why?

 

 

AlignSource is a matchmaker — we make our living by matching healthcare managers and leaders with leading institutions. AlignSource reflects the same key characteristics and values that have led me to past success — an emphasis on process, a focus on listening to those we serve, and integrity in all we do. These values and characteristics reflect me, my training as a lawyer, and my background and beliefs — I cannot change who I am. So as good matchmakers, we are looking to make matches for ourselves, too, to find clients and jobseekers who match us. We seek employers and candidates who share these characteristics and values, with whom we can collaborate.

About Daniel R. Ross

 

Daniel R. Ross is a veteran entrepreneur and business executive in healthcare-related areas.  Before founding AlignSource, Mr. Ross co-founded and operated Allegiance Health Inc., a provider of medical review services.  In 2004 he sold Allegiance Health to a public company, where he briefly served as EVP. 

Before Allegiance Health, Mr. Ross spent 13 years in the investment banking industry, living seven years in Asia and Europe. 

Prior to his investment banking career, he practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. 

Mr. Ross graduated from The University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an editor of the Virginia Law Review, and Harvard University.  He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
